FAQs
How do I book?
We can hold 20 people at a time in our cafe. You can book online by clicking here but if you are making a booking for 5+ people please get in touch so we can accomodate you.
What is a cat cafe?
Our cafe is home to 20 resident cats who are all looking for their forever homes. They will roam freely around, so you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee whilst getting some kitty cuddles! After you have been checked in, you will be briefed on our house rules to ensure the safety of the cats, then you will be taken to you allocated seats. We encourage you to wander and play with the cats for the ultimate experience!
Can I bring treats?
Although that is very sweet of you - we kindly ask that you don't bring them anything from home. You can buy in-house treats from our cat-gumball machine for 20p and give them to our residents!
Can I play with them?
Yes! We have a wide range of toys for you to use when playing with the cats, but do bear in mind, some cats have favourites! So speak with a team member to know what ones will get the cats playing the most!
Are children welcome?
Of course, we have a child entry fee of £4 if they are under 12. If your child is below 2 they enter for free. If you are bringing a child below 2, please do get in touch for us to accommodate you.
Can I bring my cat?
It's a given we are cat lovers here at Whiskers & Paws but please do not bring your cat as they might not get on with our house residents and we don't want to be breaking up cat fights!
Why is there an entry fee?
As our cafe is home to many cats, their welfare is our top priority so that comes at a cost. By having an entry fee in place means we can buy them great quality food, treats, toys and plush bedding. Veterinary bills and medication when and i they need it. It also allows us to operate a reduced capacity so we can keep our doors open with a limited number of guests to not overload the cats.
Can I stroke/cuddle/
touch the cats?
We have a few house rules which you will be briefed on when you arrive. Like humans, cats have their own feelings and moods. Of course we encourage you to play and stroke them if they are willing but we polietly ask you that you do not pick the cats up or restrain them in any way.
If the cats are sleeping/eating/grooming please do not disturb them.
All our cats have different personalities which you will get to discover, some are more outgoing than others.
We believe cats deserve dignity and we have the right to show them respect.
Please note that cats can sleep up to 18 hours a day (what a life!) so please be aware that during your visit there will always be at least one sleepy kitty!
Can I book a large party?
The more the merrier! If you are booking for more than 5 people please email cafe@whiskersandpawscafe.co.uk with your party information to get booked in.
